CrayoNano is developing UVC-LEDs for the disinfection market. The LEDs are based on nanowires grown using MOCVD (Metal organic chemical vapour deposition).

The lab assistant will be employed at our research facility at Sluppen in Trondheim. They will be contributing to the daily running of the cleanroom, characterization of samples and learn about the RnD department of a nanotechnology/semiconductor company.

We are looking for someone that can work 6-8 weeks, can start in mid/end of June and will work full time.

Your tasks:

• Nanomaterial characterization using
• SEM (scanning electron microscopy)
• CL (cathode luminescence)
• Optical microscopy
• Electrical measurements such as IV and EL (electroluminescence)
• Organizational tasks related to running a cleanroom facility
• Minor maintenance and monitoring tasks (gas levels and instrument status)

Your profile

• Is currently in a study programme related to materials science, nanotechnology, physics, electronics engineering or similar.
• Basic understanding of semiconductor physics required
• Basic cleanroom experience required
• Experience using SEM will be seen as an asset
• Experience using other characterization tools is beneficial
• Conducts themselves well in a lab environment
• Structured and organized mindset
• Able to work both in a team and independently
