At Department for Microsystems and nanotechnology we work on developing and producing sensors and actuators based on silicon technology. Microsystems is one of the industrial areas experiencing strong international growth and Norway is one of the leading nations in several areas of this field. The department counts about 40 staff. Our priority areas are micro optics, BioMEMS, MEMS and silicon radiation detectors.

Our requirements

The work in the laboratory covers a wide specter. We now are looking for a new colleague with the following top competence (PhD preferred):

  • Solid state physics

  • Mechanics

  • Analytical modelling

  • FEM simulations

Knowledge and experience within silicon technology and work in clean room will be an advantage but is not an absolute requirement for working for us. We emphasize a strong interest in applied research, an extrovert attitude, cooperation and the ability to initiate and carry out projects. We are looking for academically strong, innovative, inquisitive and independent candidates who will perform well in a team.
