Description
FMC Technologies is looking for 13 highly motivated students to participate in its Summer Technology Training Program (STTP). The chosen participants collaborate on a 10-week project which addresses issues facing the arctic-related subsea industry. It’s a chance to literally jump right in and make a cutting-edge contribution to subsea technology.
The program is based in Kongsberg and it is open to students who are currently pursuing their master’s degree. These highly motivated individuals must be truly dedicated to technology, good team players and have an academic record to match the tasks.
Responsibilities
The Program results in a final presentation and each student will present their solutions. Main Tasks
The 2014 program needs people who can work with one of the following disciplines:
- Heat exchangers for high temperature and corrosive environment
- Materials, thermodynamics, mechanical design
- Flow assurance – using heat engine technology
- Fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, petroleum engineering
- Well head stabilization for Arctic sea beds
- Mechanical design, thermodynamics, geotechnical science
- Subsea combustion – optimization of process
- Thermodynamics, chemistry, fluid mechanics, mechanical design
- Ocean power generation
- System engineering, fluid mechanics, materials, mechanical design
- Business development - From idea to business
- Media and communication - Internal/external media handling
Requirements
Student on a Master Degree program, preferrably on 3rd, 4th or 5th year. CV and grades to be provided in one document.
Other information
The application deadline is 16.02.2014. Accommodations can be arranged for participants who live out of the area. The 2014 STTP runs from June 10 until August 15. If any questions, please contact sttp@fmcti.com.
