Would you like to work for KONGSBERG this summer?
We are proud to introduce our new summer project, Zeppaloon, providing students with the opportunity to resolve a complex technological task over a period of six weeks during the summer of 2014.

The assignment is to build a scaled unmanned airship to simulate/imitate the dynamic positioning technology that KONGSBERG uses to operate offshore vessels in challenging conditions. In addition to building a prototype, this involves developing sub systems such as:

• Software
• Sensors and reference systems
• Thruster and power management
• Control algorithms

The finished prototype will resemble the challenges that KONGSBERG systems are exposed to every day. Zeppaloon will test the boundaries of what is possible; Extreme Performance for Extreme Conditions.

Throughout the design, development and test phases, students are supported by highly skilled and experienced engineers in Kongsberg Maritime. Zeppaloon will continue all year, through student theses and scientific research.

We are looking for applicants that have completed at least 3 years of academic studies in disciplines such as; cybernetics, software, electronics, industrial design or project management.

To be considered as a candidate for Zeppaloon, you must write a personal application letter, register technical skills and average mark. Transcript of grade and CV must be sent as attachments to the application. The application is filed through our online recruitment database.

The summer students in Zeppaloon will be situated in the city of Kongsberg. We will assist in providing accommodation at reasonable prices. Applicants will be assessed continuously up to the deadline of February 28th.

KONGSBERG has two types of summer internships: two summer project and summer job in a technical department. If you want to apply for all three you have to send in separate applications.
